So far in Smallville we’ve already had Amanda Waller hanging around, and this season there’s confirmation that Deadshot will be around as well. Nothing to really get the gears turning too much, I mean, Waller is pretty much your default go to evil/bitchy government character for DC (not unlike Henry Gyrich or Maria Hill at Marvel), and Deadshot is just plain awesome, but they don’t have to link up. Well, not until you include the most recently casted guest star this season.
Kryptonsite is reporting that Ted Whittall, who has previously played the role of Lana’s personal trainer in an earlier season, will be playing the role of Rick Flag in at least two episodes, “Shield” and “Ambush”. Flag is best known in the comics as being the tough as nails leader of the Suicide Squad, working for Amanda Waller…and Deadshot is one of the most well known members of the group.
You know what would be awesome? A Suicide Squad spin off…..even if I think Fox would be the best network for it.
