Barnes is suspected of committing domestic violence.
Barnes was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on suspicion of domestic violence and maliciously obstructing the use of a telephone line. He posted $50,000 bond and was released.
The sheriff’s department said they received a call to the house around 4:16 Wednesday afternoon and when they arrived at the house both Barnes and the woman had visible injuries but took Barnes into custody when they determined he was the primary aggressor.
Barnes signed a 2-year $3.6 million contract with the Lakers in July.
