PWInsider Reports Matt Hardy Sent Home from Europe

News

According to PWInsider.com, “WWE Smackdown star Matt Hardy was sent home from the ongoing WWE tour of Europe today, sources within WWE have confirmed.”

Apparently there was “concern” about his “condition” both on the trip as well as last week’s house show in White Plains. As for the White Plains situation, PWI is reporting that according to its sources, he was spoken to, left, and didn’t compete at that show. PWI isn’t offering any additional details at this time, so everything is speculative at the moment.

Matt Hardy hasn’t updated his Twitter account since approx. 11pm last night (ET), but that post was a link to the video where brother Jeff announced that he and Beth Britt were expecting a child. House before that, he posted a number of comments about the Internet Wrestling Community, ranking some top names in the IWC at the above site as well as others. He also posted that “The last year I’ve dealt with overwhelming, out of my control physical issues, but kept on keepin on. Glad some guys had fun at my expense. That’s what prob triggered my tweets tonight. But times are a changin.. and it wont be just physically.. it’s also mentally.. I AM AWAKE!”

We will update this report if any new information is available.

UPDATE: WrestlingObserver.com is confirming that “WWE officials have confirmed Matt Hardy was sent home one day early from the European tour,” and that he did work yesterday’s show in Minehead, UK.
