Zab Judah just got closer to the meaningful light welterweight bout he’s been looking for. After claiming none of the top fighters at 140 would face him, Judah settled for an October bout against Michael Clark. That bout has now been canceled as Zab Judah will now face the undefeated Lucas Matthysse from Argentina on November 6 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
HBO will televise the bout as part of Boxing After Dark. The fight will be on the same night as Showtime’s rescheduled bout pitting Juan Manuel Marquez against Rafael Marquez. Lopez-Marquez was originally scheduled for September 18 but was pushed back due to a Marquez thumb injury.
