10 Thoughts on WWE Raw for 09.13.2010 feat Raw Roulette and Cena vs Orton

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

Welcome to another edition of 10 Thoughts on Raw. This is an extra special edition since it is the season premier of this column and Raw. To read some more thoughts, including some on John Morrison’s bearded future and some Raw GM speculation check out itswilltime.wordpress.com.

Now, on to the season premier of 10 Thoughts on Raw!

1. A tables match is suddenly the one match that can take down John Cena? I understand making him seem vulnerable, but shouldn’t he have a real vulnerability, not just constantly falling through things?

2. The Miz and Chad Ochocinco could have their own cheap VH1 TV show. They are two natural heels (even tho Ocho was a face in his hometown) and seemed to be having a good time in front of the crowd.

3. Sure, The Miz vs Daniel Bryan didn’t happen, but it would be dumb to give that match away. Somewhere down the line in their feud (and if you read my blog you know that I think this is a multiple-year program) they should have a big time submission match.

4. Edge was buried in the first hour and was barely featured for at the end of the show. I would expect him to get a little more buzz as a title contender, but it’s hard to make all six men look good.

5. Why is a song and dance match on the wheel? Shouldn’t all of the possibilities at least involve having to fight each other?

5.5 I would like to hire Ted Dibiase to sing at my next party.

6. I like seeing Zach Ryder’s character be used on Raw. He may be a comedy act, but exposure is important.

7. As strong as Sheamus is as champion, I love that John Morrison was not beaten cleanly by him. Morrison could be on his way up the card with this program with Jericho. For more thoughts on Morrison’s potential rise, check out itswilltime.wordpress.com.

8. WWE made a great choice by having the Six Pack Challenge be an elimination match. Now the champion will have to be pinned or submit to lose, which makes the eventual winner look more legit. Now I would love it if TNA would do this for their Bound for Glory main event.

9. Not a huge fan of Hart Dynasty losing, but doing so by having one man escape the cage early made sense. Have you ever played a WWE video game and done this? It’s very frustrating to be stuck in the cage with two people. Damn tag team match on Smackdown vs Raw.

10. Awesome RKO out of the Attitude Adjustment. I remember in 1998 when DDP was promoted as being able to hit the Diamond Cutter out of any position, but Randy Orton has turned it into an art form. Hopefully when he has a career DVD it will feature a countdown of the coolest RKOs (which would make a fun blog…).

That’s all for me this week folks! I’ll be back on Thursday with another People’s Column and make sure to check out itswilltime.wordpress.com to hear more of my thoughts, including those on John Morrison’s future.
