IWC Responds to Matt Hardy’s Video

News

In response to the video Matt Hardy posted on YouTube to prove he was still in Europe and explain his recent health issues, both Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver.com and Wade Keller at PWTorch.com have posted some comments.

Meltzer writes of Hardy, “He said not to worry about him, but when I was done watching the video, I was worried.”

Keller, whose site was criticized directly by Hardy in the video, dedicated an entire blog post to the subject, basically saying that if there is a problem with Hardy’s health, WWE should address it rather than let him continue to perform. “WWE needs to step forward and deal with the Matt Hardy situation, whatever it is,” writes Keller.

He goes on to write that “Whatever is going on with Hardy isn’t hidden from the public entirely. His condition in the YouTube video is up for speculation, but plenty of people leaving comments on the YouTube page where his video played saw warning signs … What kind of Wellness Policy is this that leads to announcers saying Hardy is too injured to do cardio to get in shape, yet somehow he’s still able to wrestle?”

Whatever the case may be – he’s finally recovering from health issues, has actual backstage problems, is working the Internet, or a combination of two or more of them – we hope everything works out with Matt, and that he has a long and healthy career/life ahead of him.

We will have additional information if/when it is available, perhaps as of tomorrow’s Smackdown tapings in Detroit.
