NFL News: New England Patriots RB Kevin Faulk Has Torn ACL

News

Faulk tore his ACL in Sunday’s game against the Jets and is likely out for the season.

Faulk was knocked out of the game in the fourth quarter after an eight yard run. On Tuesday the Patriots announced that Faulk had torn his ACL, an injury that usually ends a players season. Naturally, Patriots coach Bill Belichick wouldn’t rule Faulk out for the season yet.

“They’re still working on it. I think part of it is how things come around in the next day or so,” Belichick said on a conference call. “We’ll see how things go in the next day or so and based on how that is, then make a decision at that point.” (probably the same thing he would say if Faulks leg was cut off at the thigh)

Faulk had 8 carries for 45 yards and 6 catches for 62 yards this season.
