MLB News: Arizona Diamondbacks Hire Kevin Towers As New GM

The team is expected to make an announcement at a Wednesday new confrence.

Kevin Towers and the Diamondbacks have reportedly agreed to a 2-year contract to make Towers the next GM of the Diamondbacks.

Towers spent 14 years as the GM of the San Diego Padres before he was fired at the end of last season. While Towers was the GM, the Padres won 4 NL West titles and made the World Series in 1998.

Arizona’s 60-91 record is the second worst in the NL with only Pittsburgh’s 52-98 record being worse in the league.
