Gathering an army from the timestream he went to war with Ultron, and he lost. And then he gathered another army and went back to war, Kang lost again. Wash, rinse, repeat until time was broken. Because, apparently, Kang thought it would be a brilliant idea to go to war with a machine with unlimited resources and superior intellect right at the peak of that machines power and influence.
