10 Thoughts on Superstars 09.24.2010 – A Rerun of Monday Night Raw

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

1. JTG…I wish you all could hear the disdain in my voice as I say that…

2. I usually complain when the commentators ignore the match, but in this case, I don’t blame them. With the lackluster performers and AJ cowering like she’s about to be struck, I’d digress, too.

3. It’s amazing to see that JTG still gets the fans revving, even with his lazy clotheslines. Primo actually didn’t look bad, you can still see the passion in his performance.

4. Hey, the WWE is whoring out a DVD I actually anticipate buying! Been a while since that’s happened.

5. In lieu of an actual match, we’re going to watch what happened three days ago, and something that wasn’t very interesting to start with, in its entirety. There’s gotta be a few jobbers lying around. Throw a contract in the middle of the ring, and voila!

6. So, I get to do Will Pruett’s job for a minute and review a Raw match. Hey, if they’re going to kill time, so will I. I loathed this gauntlet match. The finish was decent, as they kept Superman looking strong and kept Nexus from another embarrassing loss. But the gauntlet match felt like as big a waste of time as it is now, as a recap.

7. At least we’ll end this show on a high note. Any chance to watch Goldust compete is fine by me. I just wish they’d use him on his home brand a bit more. But I like his influence on NXThree.

8. If I had an entrance for WWE, I’d choose William Regal’s. It’s pretty rad.

9. Aksana’s limited interaction was pretty decent. Gave Regal some heat, and made Goldust look good as a pro.

10. Submission maneuvers are my favorite, and it was nice to see so many of them in this match.

I apologize for all the negativity in this column, guys. But come on. This made a mockery of WWE Superstars. Remember when Chris Jericho used to appear on here? Randy Orton? CM Punk? And actually…wrestled? What the hell happened?
