Sesame Street Pulls Katy Perry Segment From Show Due To Excessive Cleavage

Media, News, Video

The long-running children’s show, Sesame Street, says it won’t air a taped segment featuring Katy Perry with Elmo. Perry, who is known for singing such pop hits as “California Gurls” and “I Kissed A Girl”, wore a gold bustier top as she sang a version of another of her hit songs, “Hot N Cold.”

Sesame Street said in a statement Thursday that in light of the “feedback we’ve received” after the bit was aired on YouTube, they won’t include it on the show. While the show said it was still available on YouTube, it had been removed by the official Sesame Street YouTube channel.

A rep for Perry said Thursday that Perry enjoyed her time with Sesame Street and Elmo, and pointed out that the clip is still online on her website.

Watch the clip below and make the call if Katy Perry shows too much cleavage.

I'm not embarrassed to say that my favorite television show of all-time is The O.C. I live by the motto "you can't fight fate!" More importantly, I watch WAY too much television, but I do so for the benefit of everyone reading this now. So to my mom and my wife, I say thanks for reading! To everyone else that might stumble across this, remember TiVo should be your best friend!
