Pro Wrestling Insider has reported that Jorge “Giant” Gonzales has died at the age of 44. Says PWI, the wrestler also known as El Gigante before he left WCW for the WWF “was very ill with complications of diabetes and other physical issues stemming from his 7’7″ height.” This was confirmed by other wrestling news sites, and an Argentinian newspaper, which also notes his time as a local basketball star.

We wish his family, friends and fans our condolences.
