Kwame Brown sustained a “severe” ankle sprain in a pick-up game on Thursday and will miss four-to-six weeks. The called the injury a third degree sprain, which a tear of at least 80% of the ligament.
Charlotte signed Brown to a one-year, $1.3 million deal last month.
The injury means Brown likely won’t be ready at the start of the season.
