10 Thoughts on 10 Columns Over Three Years

Columns

September 24th, 2010 marked my third year on Inside Pulse Wrestling. For you diehard fans that checked out my “Insider” bio, I’ve wrote hundreds of columns, ranging from RAW reports to news bits, and beyond. I figured since I can choose whatever I write about, I’m going to write about some of my work over the past three years. Here are ten columns I’ve produced during my three year tenure with Pulse Wrestling and some captions with them.

1.  WWE RAW Report for 09.24.2007 – My first official column. The only thing that any casual fan would remember from this show was when Carlito etched a victory over Triple H inside a steel cage. Sure, Vince McMahon was in Carlito’s corner, but Carlito won! Oh, John Cena was the champion and Jonathan Coachman went through a table in the main event. Hooray for Carlito!

2. ROH Driven 2007 – My second column and it took eight hours and three viewings to make this report as great as the show was. The entire PPV is still undoubtedly the best show I’ve covered for Pulse Wrestling and some of the terminology I use on my RAW Report, I got from ROH’s commentary.

3. The Debut of Column Writing – I evolved from doing reports and news bits to writing columns about the news. Jeff Hardy made major news failing drug tests and I provided my conspiracy theory on it.

4. TNA Hate – One year in, I debut the one-and-done “W-Files”. The column that was full of grammar mistakes that required me to be a more responsible writer. I tried to spread love on TNA, but ended up bashing the company.

5. Celebrity Championship Wrestling – Actually, check out the entire season of Celebrity Championship Wrestling. I linked to the first episode because it began the crazy trip down to Hogan territory. I enjoyed the season, but was relieved that season two never existed.

6. TNA Cheerleader – There was a request from the Super-Secret Writer’s Forum for more TNA content. I stepped up and played TNA’s cheerleader for a few months until TNA fell out of love and became less of a priority in my life. As I stated last week, in the same numbered thought: “I used to write weekly about TNA. I used to watch TNA regularly. Now I barely watch and get my information from the web. Yet, how come I can still precisely rant and rave about TNA’s current direction?”

7. Fantasy Booking – I lied,  the W-Files wasn’t one-and-done, but I create a lot of controversy when I fantasy-booked the Legends/Chris Jericho angle from Wrestlemania 25. The comments were golden and believe me, if I was a wrestling promoter, I wouldn’t try to make money off the deceased. But, this is Vince McMahon we’re talking about and he’s fine doing so.

8. Anti-RAW – Iain Burnside’s glorious idea…making anti-thoughts on RAW. Who knew he was banned from making ideas in many states?

9. Paul as the Wrestling Analyst – I subbed for a few people during my tenure and I’ve done my best trying to make the columns like the original. This one was one of the few examples of me adapting.

10. ROH Live – I saw ROH live last year and it was a great experience. I highly recommend everyone to see ROH live when it comes to your area.

Over 300 articles were written so far and that number is bound to increase. I enjoy what I do for this site and I hope everyone else does as well. Next week, I’ll be more on track as I provide 10 Thoughts on WWE’s Pay-Per-View schedule. Enjoy your week!
