10 Thoughts on WWE Raw for 09.27.2010 – Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

Welcome again to a pre-taped edition of Monday Night Raw, complete with post-Raw recorded thoughts! As always with my columns, there is more to read. Go to itswilltime.wordpress.com to read blogs on the reasons for adding John Morrison to the US Championship picture and how I see Chris Jericho fitting into the Royal Rumble scene in four months.

Now onto the thoughts.

1. Not the best mic work from Miz starting the show off. Maybe it was a dead crowd, but he didn’t seem to get a ton of heat. I would have liked to have seen a little more from Daniel Bryan too. This was an opportunity to show some personality, but they just made him look more bland.

2. Should John Morrison be a frightening opponent for The Miz, considering Miz has beat him almost every time they’ve faced off since they broke up.

3. I like the idea of Natalya in the Diva’s Championship scene more than I like The Hart Dynasty with the tag titles, so I think it is a strong move by WWE to put her in contention for the butterfly belt.

4. Who will sweep in to take Maryse away from Dibiase next week? Or will someone actually be taking Dibiase away from Maryse. This couple should be doing more, but they don’t fit anywhere but the bottom of the roster right now.

5. Weird to hear Mick Foley referenced on a WWE show and even weirder to hear his new book mentioned.

6. Not a bad way to make Sheamus look dangerous, but I would have rather seen him dominate a match than have to be in the ring with Khali.

7. The entire Edge vs GM Computer segment made me laugh. It was silly and a little pointless. It did nothing to make Edge look like the awesome competitor that he is. It just made me laugh.

8. Where was The Nexus as a tag team combo at Night of Champions? They’ve done more than almost any team on WWE’s roster. If any team deserved a shot, it was them.

9. Two tag team matches on one episode of Raw. You can tell this is a taped show that they didn’t want to work to hard on. Maybe they should stop working so hard on shows and just let the wrestlers wrestle on occasion.

10. I love that on his way put Jericho put over Orton strongly (ironically Orton was the man he redebuted against in 2007). It was a nice rub for Orton and a memorable sendoff for Chris Jericho. I love the promo about who he beat also. Classic Jericho.

That’s all for me this week. Please check the blog and hit up the comments here and there. Remember, the blog is at itswilltime.wordpress.com.
