Two Titans leave at the conclusion of the issue, with promises to potentially return.
One of the members is Static, who lost his powers earlier in the issue. While he was never really given any real degree of focus in the title, it is sad to see him go. I mean, despite that it’s really so he can move into his newly launching solo title early next year, which sort of answers the question of are they really going to leave him powerless. I’m assuming that the Henderson written series is going to keep him in his own corner of the universe for a bit.
The other member is Ms. Martian, who pushed her powers to the limit over the past few issues and is now comatose. Static escorted her back to Cadmus so that both could be evaluated and hopefully cured of their various issues. Of course, Ms. Martian is in the promo art for the upcoming JT Krul and Nicola Scott Teen Titans run beginning next issue, so I figure she’ll be back in an issue or two.
At the same time, Bombshell and Aquagirl apparently went missing, so they’re gone too. Roster slimming, the fat gets trimmed from all over. Sometimes just with better explanation.
