The deal was agreed to right before the season starts for the B’s.
The Boston Bruins and Patrice Bergeron have agreed to a 3-year $15 million contract.
Bergeron suffered a serious concussion in the 2007-08 season and missed 72 games that year. The Bruins gave him all the time he needed to get healthy and now have been reward with a healthy Bergeron.
Bergeron scored 19 goals and 33 assists last year, but is expected to take on a bigger role in the offense this year with Marc Savard suffering from the lingering effects of a concussion of his own.
