It was reported today that all drugs tests that were administered to UFC 119 fighters prior to the show came back clean. The tests were given to Frank Mir, Cro Cop Filipovic, Ryan Bader, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Chris Lytle, Sean Sherk, Melvin Guillard, C.B. Dollaway and Matt Mitrione. They were tested for both recreational drugs (marijuana, cocaine) and performance enhancing ones as well.
The results were made public by Andy Means, executive director of the Indiana Gaming Commission’s athletic division, who emailed them to MMAjunkie.com. The tests are usually given to the main event fighters, all winners and any one who has tested positive in the past though everybody who competes on the card is subject to them.
The UFC is still recovering from a high profile drug test failure as after UFC 117 Chael Sonnen tested positive for anabolic steroids. He is now appealing that finding.
