Sakio Bika Likely To Face Andre Ward

News

After Andre Dirrell dropped out of the Super Six due to neurological issues, Dan Rafael of ESPN.com is reporting that Sakio Bika is the likely replacement to take on Andre Ward. The fight would likely be in Ward’s hometown of Oakland, CA for the WBA Super Middleweight title. It’s not certain whether the fight will be a part of the Super Six tournament or not. Ward has already clinched his spot and fighters are allowed to defend their titles outside of the tournament format.

If Bika is added, then the Group Stage 3 will look like this:

Nov 6 – Allan Green (0 pts) vs. Glen Johnson (0 pts)
Nov 27 – Arthur Abraham (3 pts) vs. Carl Froch (2 pts)
Nov 27 – Andre Ward (4 pts) vs. Sakio Bika (0 pts)

The top four point totals will advance to the knockout stage.
