Odom has been close to a non-factor this year for the Bengals.
The league announced that Bengals DE Antwan Odom would be suspended for four games starting immediately for testing positive for a banned substance in the preseason.
Odom claims he mistakenly took his wife’s weight loss prescription on the drive up to Bengals training camp.
Odom’s lawyers said the NFL hearing officer concluded that the evidence showed that Odom had taken his wife’s prescription, however, that officer didn’t have the power to change the suspension.
The ruling came down before the season started, and the appeal process has been run, so the suspension will begin this Sunday.
