Exclusive: So You Think You Can Dance Canada Top 8 Teach Murtz Jaffer How To Dance [VIDEO]

Features, Interviews

As the So You Think You Can Dance Canada dancers gear up for the finale on Sunday, October 24 at 9 p.m. (on CTV), judge and choreographer Luther Brown held an exclusive Hip-Hop 101 class for media.

Those of you that know me, know that I take media competitions like this one very seriously. I was denied status as the Media Idol in 2007 and 2008. I felt that both times were a miscarriage/murtzcarriage of justice.

This time, because I had been taught a hip hop routine in season 1 of my show, Reality Obsessed by Lauren Gottlieb from So You Think You Can Dance [CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO], I thought I was at a heavy advantage.

With that being said, given my losses at Media Idol, I didn’t want to take any chances. I was always a believer in Eddie Guerrero’s ‘cheat to win’ philosophy so I came with a sinister scheme. I caught up with the So You Think You Can Dance Canada‘s Top 8 performers, Amanda, Danielle, Denys, Janick, Jeff, Mackenzie, Nathalie and Sebastian after they performed on Monday and asked them to teach me a move or two before Luther’s class to get a leg-up on the competition.

Here’s video of what went down.

It starts with the Top 4 guys teaching me how to “dougie.”

Then the girls showed me how to “chest bump.”

Finally it was time for the class? How’d I do? Check it out.

I’ll let you be the judge of whether I can dance or not. Check out this leaked video of me dancing with Kristen Bitting (Big Brother), Gia Allemand (Bachelor Pad, Gwen Gioia (Bachelor Pad) and Shana Wall (Amazing Race from a reality event in Virginia last week.

I will see you all after Monday’s So You Think You Can Dance Canada finale. Also, I will be at the So You Think You Can Dance U.S. tour on Tuesday and will catch up with my old pals Lauren Froderman, Kent Boyd and Adechike Torbert among others in exclusive interviews.
