Michael Bisping and Yoshihiro Akiyama performed strongly on Spike TV with their three round standing battle being watched by a peak audience of nearly 2.5million people. The three hour broadcast averaged 1.9million viewers, while less than previous ‘numbered specials’ was a respectable performance considering the focus on promoting UFC 121 and the heavy European focus of the main card.
