According to reports, it looks like T.J. O’Brien (he who lost during the elimination stages of “The Ultimate Fighter 12” to Josh Koscheck’s 1st round pick, Marc Stevens) will get a second shot at the UFC.
Sources close to MMA Junkie report that O’Brien (a submission specialist with a 16-3 professional MMA record) will be replacing the injured Gabe Ruediger in a bout against Paul Kelly at next month’s UFC 123, November 20th from The Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan.
“O’Brien, a longtime title-holder in the popular Midwest Cagefighting Championships, enters the UFC with a remarkable six-fight win streak and 13 wins in his past 14 fights. All 13 of the wins have come via submission, nine via triangle choke. In fact, all 16 of O’Brien’s career wins have come via submission, 11 via triangle choke.” [Source: MMA Junkie]
