Alan Scott has his neck broken by the antagonist of the issue, taking him out of the fight. When next we see him he’s revealed to have had a C-2 fracture, and will most likely be paralyzed for the rest of his life.
Of course, I don’t expect this to last, as Alan is really nothing more than living willpower at this point, and the character is aware of this. I mean, the Starheart stuff from the crossover, his living makes the moon a fairy kingdom. You don’t just take away the fairy kingdom after a month!
You wait three months for that!
