Last House On The Left Remake Director To Tackle Demonologists

News, Projects

The Las Angeles Times is reporting that Dennis Iliadis, who previously helmed the remake of Wes Craven’s The Last House on the Left, is in talks to direct The Demonologists, a film written by Ghost Whisperer writer Teddy Tenenbaum. Joel Silver would produce.

The script follows a family of ghost hunters who find themselves in deep water after they encounter a demon infestation. While I’m not so sure when demons and ghosts became as interchangeable as films like Paranormal Activity would ask you to believe, I’m down for any movie that features a demon infestation. Let’s just hope the filmmakers don’t fall into the rut of having the movie be a found footage film.

Iliadis had previously been considered to helm a remake of Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds.
