At the Rally to Restore Sanity And/Or Fear, organized in Washington DC by Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert, TNA wrestler Mick Foley was honored with the “Medal of Sanity”. Jon Stewart presented the medal to Foley, who came on stage to address the crowd, for his ongoing work outside the ring with the anti-sexual violence organization RAINN. Stewart showed a video clip of Foley in the ring and working with RAINN and concluded the presentation by saying that Foley receives the medal for “showing sanity and compassion in every place, except his day job”. Vince McMahon must be furious that when wrestling and politics are finally mentioned together in a positive connotation, he’s not a part of it.
