Herschel Walker Gets Second Strikeforce Opponent; Set to Fight December 4th

News

Herschel Walker officially has a time and a date for his second professional MMA fight. According to Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker and confirmed to ESPN.com on Friday, Walker will meet Scott Carson in a “featured heavyweight bout at Strikeforce ‘Henderson vs. Babalu’.” The card will originate from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO on December 4th and will air on Showtime.

The 12-season NFL veteran made a successful debut in January and is possibly the sport’s highest-profile novice.

Carson, 40, is 4-1 in pro bouts, but had a ten-year layoff between fights due to a back injury until his return to the sport in June of this year. He was knocked out by Lorenz Larkin in that contest.
