Jeremy Stephens Gets His Wish, Will Face Marcus Davis at UFC 125

News

Not long ago, UFC lightweight prospect Jeremy Stephens took to Twitter asking for a match with Marcus Davis at UFC 125 in response to Davis’ announcement that he would drop weight classes for his next bout. It seems that the hard-hitting Stephen will get his wish and welcome former welterweight Marcus Davis to the 155-pound division at January’s UFC 125 event on January 1 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Hopefully, he won’t be welcoming the way that Jake Shields was welcomed to UFC by Martin Kampmann.

The fight should be finalized in the coming days.

Davis has three losses in his last four fights, including a submission loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 118. Stephens is coming off of a lackluster split decision loss to Melvin Guillard, but was on a two-fight win streak prior.
