Mike Brown – Diego Nunes Set for UFC 125

News

UFC 125 will help the UFC ring in 2011 in style. MMA Junkie is reporting that bout agreements were signed between former World Extreme Cagefighting featherweight champion Mike Brown and Diego Nunes for UFC 125 on New Year’s Day in Las Vegas. The event will originate from MGM Garden Arena.

Brown, 35, was once considered a dominant force at 145 lbs., but has only gone 2-2 in the last year, including two knockout losses to Jose Aldo and Manny Gamburyan. Nunes is perfect in his MMA career save for a unanimous decision defeat to L.C. Davis at WEC 44 a year ago. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu purple belt trains out of Nova Uniao with Aldo and is coming off back-to-back wins in the WEC cage.
