The American Film Institute is in the midst of celebrating its 24th annual AFI Fest. Built as the annual kick-off to awards season, it and the American Film Market (AFM) provide the only concurrent festival/market event in North America. Award hopefuls like Love & Other Drugs, Blue Valentine and The King’s Speech have played for packed audiences, and Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan is the closing night film of the festival.
