10 Thoughts on Superstars 11.11.2010 — Kaval, Drew McIntyre, and the ECW Orphans

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

1. For a moment, I thought Zack Ryder was pulling in some insane heat upon his entrance. Then I remembered, he hasn’t really been given an entrance in a long time, so that may be why.

2. Wait, wait, wait. Yoshi Tatsu is alive? Who knew.

3. Zack has a gimmick the fans love to hate and I really like what he brings to matches. Why hasn’t he broken through the mid-card yet? I could see him as a real contender for the US Championship, instead of jobbing to a man who has been absent for a substantial amount of time.

4. I’m really starting to wonder if the NXThree challenges have become an inside joke within the company. “Hey, how much more stupid can we make these broads look?”

5. Tonight’s episode of Superstars for the Raw brand has been like a resurrection of forgotten wrestlers. Primo returns tonight, but that only means we have to suffer through AJ’s nonsense.

6. Good to see ECW is still alive, with Zack, Yoshi, and Big Zeke seeming to settle in on the Thursday night show. Now that the monstrosity that NXT has become is off the air, why not develop another C-Show to dump these stars on? I don’t like the thought of Superstars having its own pseudo-roster. Superstars is a chance to get spunky and creative; something that is not being accomplished by reusing the ECW orphans. And Primo.

7. I like the Big Show, so Knuckleheads seems like it would be a genuinely funny movie. Like, with real humor, not the stuff they shove into a Cena promo.

8. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m extremely excited to see Barrett take on Orton at Survivor Series, and Edge take on Kane. It feels a little more fresh, and I don’t feel the urge to stock up on 5-Hour Energy before the show starts.

9. Okay. How do I find Kaval’s song as a ringtone? I would like it to play when I’m particularly angry and walking through a public area. Like, the grocery store.

10. Kaval is just a breath of fresh air. I’m used to the huffing and puffing of a big hunk of talking muscles, but he perpetually impresses my increasingly difficult-to-please mentality. I’ve grown to judge these men hard, and week after week, my eyes widen at the sight of everything this high-flyer does.
