Vanity Fair: Glee’s Jane Lynch inspired by Six Million Dollar Man’s Lee Majors?

News, Top Story

Prior to the November 23, 2010 shipping of the 40 disc DVD collection of all 5 seasons of the 1970s Six Million Dollar Man TV series, including the TV movies that preceded and followed the series, comes a Vanity Fair interview with actor Lee Majors.

In that interview, he talks Glee and the power of the red track suit! Sue Sylvester and Colonel Steve Austin share a common trait! ;)

What happened to that red jogging suit anyway? Is it still in your closet?

I have one, but I don’t know how far back it goes. It wouldn’t surprise me if somebody handed one of the original suits to me and asked me to sign it. You can find anything on eBay these days. You ever watch that show with the singing teenagers?

Glee?

Yeah. I’ve seen it once or twice, but I noticed that the lead lady in it wears a red sweatsuit. What’s her name?

Jane Lynch.

Yeah, yeah, her. She’s kind of the leader of that whole group. I think maybe she got the idea to wear that red suit from watching The Six Million Dollar Man. It gives her some power.
