Tito Ortiz to Face “Little Nog” Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in March 2011

News

In a bit of “we heard it but forgot to report it” news, Tito Ortiz hasn’t been released from UFC despite four straight losses. Not having a win with the organization since 2007 would sound like grounds for termination, but according to UFC President Dana White, Ortiz has already got his next matchup set, in a fan question-and-answer session at UFC 122 from Germany last Friday confirmed that Ortiz would likely face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in March 2011.

The former Light Heavyweight champion’s last victory came at the expense of Ken Shamrock in October 2006. Ortiz held the UFC Light Heavyweight strap from Sept. 1999 to Sept. 2003 but has suffered through back injuries that have hampered his fight career.

“Little Nog,” the twin brother of the former UFC interim Heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, boasts a 19-4 record and won his first two UFC starts before suffering his first defeat, losing in a decision to Ryan Bader at UFC 119.
