Red Announced for Blu-ray

News

The oldest dogs in the yard still have the biggest bite. Red was a hit action comedy this fall due in large part because of its eclectic cast of stars and thespians. Bruce Willis played a retired black-ops CIA agent who was to be liquidated until he showed that he had a few tricks still left up his sleeve. In an effort to get back at the Agency, Willis gets help from co-stars Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, and John Malkovich.

In an early retailer announcement, Summit Entertainment is planning to bring Red to Blu-ray and DVD on January 25, 2011. Suggested list price for the Blu-ray is $30.49.

While specs have yet to be revealed, supplements will include:

  • Audio commentary with retired CIA field officer Robert Baer
  • Deleted and extended scenes
  • Access: RED – Activate a variety of “scene-specific” features including interviews with cast members, real-life CIA expert commentary, animated documentary shorts on controversial CIA operations and more.
