Randy Couture to Retire from UFC as Acting Career and Training Business Take Off?

News, Video

After a recent appearance by Randy Couture on ESPN 1100 radio with Paul Howard, we might not have many opportunities left to see “Captain America” in the Octagon. While Couture hints that he remains in great shape and thinks he would do well against fighters like UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Rashad Evans, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, he questions his desire to make a run at such fighters or the strap.

With a burgeoning acting career and his gym and other interests taking up a great deal of his time, “The Natural” appears ready to ride off into the sunset.

Our own Will Cooling had an interesting take on what Couture should do before leaving MMA in the dust – take on Anderson “The Spider” Silva for the UFC Middleweight title. A win there would make him the ONLY three division champion in the MMA “majors.”
