10 Thoughts on WWE Superstars 12.02.2010 – Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith, William Regal

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

1. Cena has been removed from the intro for Superstars. With the “firing” itself, the elimination of “Juan Cena”, AND no more seeing his face? Thank you, Santa!

2. Normally, I complain about the small storylines on Superstars, as it does nothing for them on their home brands. But I’m warming up to it. I like the Hawkins/Not Fired Dudebuster’s interaction on there, gives viewers a reason to tune in and adds substance to some rarely-used stars.

3. I will never be a fan of Not Fired Dudebuster, but he does very well in the air. His basic maneuvers suck and he can’t sell worth a damn, but he really gets some height to his spots and adds a certain amount of depth.

4. The arena is so smokey, it looks like the inside of Lindsay Lohan’s lung.

5. CM Punk looks like he’s ready for picture day at school. Awfully dapper. I always look forward to his commentary, and inevitable name-botching.

6. Good to see Darren Young is still alive. Just as I begin to forget about him, BOOM. There he is.

7. Regal finished ridiculously strong, which is not news. I loved the submission at the end, forcing Young to submit verbally.

8. Let’s shift gears entirely for a moment for a random thought (perhaps I’ll make it a weekly thing): I miss Jerishow, if only just for their entrance music.

9. You could create a drinking game out of how many times Scott has said the word “dissension”.

10. DH Smith and Tyson Kidd became more than “those guys that hang around Bret Hart” tonight. They had personalities, identities, flair. Of all the broken up tag teams this year, this feud is actually totally watchable. I couldn’t draw my eyes away long enough to look at the keyboard.
