Wladimir Klitschko out of Dereck Chisora fight; could fight David Haye next

News

In shocking news, Wladimir Klitschko has pulled out of his fight against Dereck Chisora citing a back injury. Talking to Gareth T. Davies, Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said that “He tore a muscle in his back and has had back spasms” and that its looking likely that the injury will keep him out of action for three to six weeks. Schaefer told Davies that Klitschko will try to put together a fight with WBA Champion David Haye but should those talks prove fruitless then he will fulfil his obligations to Chisora. Interestingly Haye and manager Adam Booth will be meeting Klitshcko manager Shelly Finkel and Schaefer this weekend to discuss the fight, likely to take place in London unless HBO is willing to pay big money to bring it over to the States.
