Man, this has to be the coolest thing so far in this miniseries as Dan Jurgens finally comes up with an origin story for the Linear Men’s base of operations at the end of time!
As a child, Rip Hunter journeyed across time with his time master father, Michael Jon Father, the hero known as Booster Gold. Unfortunately, this led to them being under attack for much of his early childhood as time traveling enemies would hunt them down and try to kill the Carter family. Eventually, as revealed in this issue, “Moving Day” happens. While under attack for what would be the last time, Booster moves their homebase to the one place they will never be found, the end of time.
And thus Vanishing Point was born. Thanks to Booster Gold.
