10 Thoughts on WWE Superstars 12.16.2010 — Drew McIntyre, Zack Ryder, Yoshi Tatsu

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

1. For the love of god, really? JTG, again? Granted, he didn’t look too awful last week, but I’m sure there’s other talent we could be utilizing, here. Chavo Guerrero puts on great matches, so does Chris Masters, so does Primo. Let’s put JTG on the shelf for a bit.

2. I love how Hawkins refuses to stay in the ring most of his matches. It’s always an adventurous change of pace from the otherwise cookie-cutter matches we usually see.

3. Oh, Superstars. I appreciate you showing recaps of NXT episodes, as it reminds me that it still exists. It also reminds me why I do not watch it anymore. See: the karaoke contest.

4. Thursday nights are good to Zack Ryder. He actually gets an entrance.

5. Call me crazy, but I actually really like Darren Young (despite him looking like you left Cena in the sun for about a week). He works very hard and improves every time he hits the ring.

6. It’s official. I don’t care if I ever see Punk in the ring again. I can safely say I prefer him on color. He calls it seriously when he needs to, but still has time to make me laugh.

7. The Slammy’s this year were so disappointing. Yes, Cena is the Superman, but he didn’t really have an excellent year. And I’m sorry, the Shooting Star-KO was infinitely better than the Attitude Adjustment atop the car. Am I right?

8. Has Drew McIntyre’s song been released as a full song yet? Who has it?

9. I remember hating Yoshi Tatsu for a substantial amount of time, but I cannot for the life of me remember why. He really looked great tonight, as his aggression was evident and he seemed much more serious. He made Drew look better than he has in weeks, and it was definitely worthy of main event status.

10. Random Thought of the Week: I love Sheamus, and it’s awesome he won King of the Ring. But, I kind of wish they didn’t bring it back. It would have been cool if Regal was the last KotR. But I also wished that Christian would be the last ECW champ, but we all know how that went.
