Sadly, we won’t get to see the teased Nick Diaz vs. Jason “Mayhem” Miller fight just yet, it appears. That contest couldn’t be agreed upon by both parties after Diaz stated that he was not willing to fight at 185 lbs. and Miller announced that he wasn’t willing to come down to 170 lbs. With neither camp budging on a catchweight, the match-up was scratched.

A short time ago, Strikeforce Welterweight Champion signed to defend his title against Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos January 29th in San Jose, California according to a report at MMAFighting.com.

“Cyborg” is husband of Strikeforce 145 lb. women’s champ Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos and is 18-13 for his career, coming off a win over Marius Zaromskis at “Strikeforce: Los Angeles.” Zaromskis is also the man that Diaz defeated last January via 1st round TKO to win the Welterweight title.
