10 Thoughts on WWE Superstars 12.30.2010 — William Regal, Yoshi Tatsu, Chris Masters

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

1. Rematches are exciting when there’s a substantial amount of time in between the original showdown and the revisitation (see: HBK vs Taker at Wrestlemania 25 and 26). But pairing up the four people you’ve managed to completely forget in a week? Not the best idea.

2. As if Darren Young doesn’t look enough like Cena, he threw one of his pattented moves tonight by flying at one of the Usos. Though somehow, it was much less irritating.

3. Yoshi Tatsu is completely forgettable, which is strange because he’s one of the most exciting guys to watch. I wish the WWE would do more to make me remember him.

4. Josh Mathews is almost as entertaining as CM Punk while bashing Scott. Almost.

5. Commercial for WWE Magazine showed the nominees for the “Jerk of the Year”…is it bad that those three men (Punk, Barrett, Miz) are my top three favorites? Hmmm.

6. David Hart Smith seems nice and comfy on Superstars lately. He needs to simmer down a bit though. His theatrics were a little too overdone at the start. But William Regal…I can’t get enough of him. He can make almost anyone look great…look what he did for Darren Young a few months back.

7. I liked how Smith nursed his leg towards the end. Tensions rose high when he started to rally, but couldn’t keep the momentum going due to the leg. It kept it interesting.

8. Raw Rebound: CM Punk has been my favorite for such a long time, it’s nice to see him doing so well. He moved over to Raw, avoided being forgotten after his injury by becoming a beloved commentator, and now is not only feuding with John Cena, but fronting Nexus. Ah, Raw becomes watchable again!

9. It’s very sad. Masters and Reks are two completely forgotten stars on Smackdown, but I very much enjoy watching them every week on Superstars. Both are usually involved in some kind of squash, but absolutely shine on Superstars.

10. Random Thought of the Week: With Awesome Kong coming to the WWE (allegedly), who’s going to win custody of the “dreads in the face” look? Kong, or Reks?
