Booker T and Kevin Nash were both negotiating contracts with TNA before the Royal Rumble for the “They” storyline to be Main Event Mafia. Booker informed TNA President Dixie Carter that he would not be returning, while Nash instead agreed to a deal and Dixie didn’t know he was gone until news broke online.
Meanwhile the “They” storyline is being built upon the real heat between Kurt Angle and Jeff and Karen Jarrett.
