The UK trailer for Ironclad has appeared online. The film stars Paul Giamatti, Brian Cox and James Purefoy.
Jonathan English directs the movie, which is about an attempt by King John (Giamatti) to regain total power over his people after being forced to sign the Magna Carta. Standing in his way is a band of ragtag warriors assembled at Rochester Castle. Shot for only $25 million, the film has yet to secure distribution.

While the unfortunate rock soundtrack could betray the movie’s generic nature, I have a good feeling about the film based on this trailer. But then again, I’m a sucker for medieval action movies.
