The long discussed fight between Mexican boxing legends Juan Manual Marquez and Erik Morales that had been scheduled to headline a April 9th Golden Boy Pay Per View is not happening with the promotion’s CEO Richard Schaefer saying that Marquez is exploring options elsewhere. After failing to make the fight with Marquez, Golden Boy is looking at pairing up Morales with Marcos Maidana. This fight may be for the WBA Regular Light-Welterweight Title with the expectation that current champion Amir Khan will be ‘elevated’ to Super Champion.
