Thiago Silva Out, Rampage Jackson To Now Face Matt Hamill At UFC 130

News

On Thursday it was announced that the drugs tests that Thiago Silva submitted before and after UFC 125 were still being processed. The UFC has acted to remove Silva from his high profile match against Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson to ensure that the former light heavyweight champion is not left without an opponent should Silva fail his drugs test. It had been rumored that he would face Rashad Evans in a blockbuster rematch of their huge UFC 114 main event but it transpires that Evans has yet to make his mind up about his future career path. Instead Jackson will face ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ standout Matt Hamill in an intriguing match that will once again test Jackson’s once feared, now suspect wrestling. However its yet another surprisingly low profile opponent for one of the most charismatic fighters in the organization.
