Movie Poster of the Week – Alex Pardee’s Best Worst Movie Print

This week’s movie poster of the week is a bit of a cheat as it’s not really a movie poster in the traditional sense. Nonetheless, it’s 100 percent awesome and deals with a great movie — qualifications as vallad as any in my book.

Freelance writer Alex Pardee has been a heavy fixture in the collectable movie poster scene for sometime — contributing amazing posters to Mondo Tees for movies such Basket Case, Re-Animator and Tremors. In addition, he’s even provided an officially licensed limited edition print from Dark Sky films commemorating the release of Hatchet 2. Most recently, Pardee has contributed artwork for the upcoming Zack Snyder film Sucker Punch.

Horror movie fans are especially encouraged to check out Zerofriends.com, where a collection of prints are available from the artist spotlighting different monsters throughout movie history such as Leatherface, Cujo and Brundle-Fly. In addition to his monster series, there is also a series dedicated to Masters of the Universe villains, cult films and — more importantly — a lot of amazing original work straight from the artist’s wonderfully warped head.

The piece from Pardee that’s getting special recognition this week, though, is a selection from Pardee’s “My Favorite Monsters” series and The Movie Knight set that’s dedicated to Best Worst Movie.

This 8″ x 10″ sized print features portraits of the cast and crew responsible for last year’s amazing documentary Best Worst Movie, a film about the making of Troll 2. And, as it’s available for only $15, this piece of artwork is an absolute steal. Best of all, it’s not a limited edition print — so no worries about it running out of stock before you can purchase it. That’s something that can’t be said about most of Pardee’s work. The print, along with tons of prints and posters from Pardee, can be purchased at Zerofriends’s online store. Visit Alex Pardee on the web and read his blog at EyeSuckInk.com.
