Spoiler Warnings: Who Is Tony Stark Forced To Help In Invincible Iron Man #501 By Matt Fraction?

Spoilers

Tony Stark is kidnapped by Otto “Doctor Octopus” Octavius, whose goals consist primarily of getting Stark to ‘fix’ him. Ever since the most random redesign in recent history occurred in Amazing Spider-Man’s Gauntlet storyline, and Ock wound up quadriplegic in a suit with eight of his octopus arms, I’ve been waiting fo something to be done. Maybe not the classic look, but anything is better than this.

Anyway, the point is that during Stark Disassembled Tony effectively erased his brain before being beaten deeper into his coma by Norman Osborn. And now here we are, not even a year later, and he’s better than ever. Ock wants Tony to fix him, bring him back to his former glory, or else he’s going to blow up a massive nuclear bomb and let the know it was because Stark refused to help him.

It’s all revenge from something that happened years ago, when both were much younger men and neither had come close to their respective worlds of heroism and villainy. Stark’s dad was still alive and running his company. Ock also has one of Stark’s people kidnapped by Sandman and Electro under threat of death.

What else can Stark do? He has to try, if not to save everyone, but to prove that he is smart enough to fix Octavius.

Also, Pepper shows up at the kidnapped guys apartment….who is kidnapped in his apartment, to drop off food. This could get interesting.
