In not particularly surprising news, new Mets’ skipper Terry Collins has announced that Carlos Beltran will be moving to right field to make room for the fresher legs of Angel Pagan. Pagan had something of a break-out season last year in Beltran’s absence, hitting .290/.340/.425 in 151 games. Beltran is in the final year of a large contract with the Mets and a move to right field will probably help extend what has been a great career.
