We found out in late January that Flashpoint will see many DC titles go on a temporary hiatus, only to be replaced (Age of Apocalypse style), with miniseries set in the new universe. We’ve had the list, we know that it’s coming, but today DC has decided to go out and give us some of those titles!
This post will be updating throughout the day, so keep an eye out!
So far we’ve had reveals like how the former 100 Bullets creative team of Brian Azzarello and Eduardo Risso will be handling the Batman miniseries, which I believe is their first time handling the Dark Knight together since they did “Broken City”.
Captain Cold by writer-artist Scott Kollins? SOLD!
Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Bennett bringing us Pirate Deathstroke? I can get down on that.
J.T. Krul is handling Deadman? I could have sworn this book had Tomasi written all over it, but I’m still interested!
Adam Schlagman writing Hal Jordan is weird though, not that Hal should only be by Johns, but I have no idea who this guy is! And if Hal isn’t a GL, does that mean it’s a book about pilot Hal?
I don’t know who Rex Ogle is, but the promise of seeing Aquaman vs Wonder Woman is pretty cool. I mean, I’m all about the mini series that just helps out the universe as a whole (X-Universe from the AoA comes to mind).
Tony Bedard and Ardian Syaf on Emperor Aquaman? I am there! Plus, a rare attempt at bad guy Aquaman should be really interesting.
Legion of Doom is another creative team I lack any familiarity with, but I’ll be damned if Heatwave doesn’t look badass in that cover.
