NBA: Erik Spoelstra Promises LeBron James And Dwyane Wade Weren’t Weeping

After making a tongue-in-cheek comment that some of his players, crushed by a 1-point loss to the Bulls on Sunday, were “whimpering” in the locker room — Erik Spoelestra had to tamp down the schadenfreude-fueled media speculation that his players were actually crying. “This is a classic example of sensationalism, looking for a headline,” Spoelstra said after the team’s two-hour film session and workout on Monday at AmericanAirlines Arena. “I really think you guys are probably reaching for this. Guys were very emotional about it in the locker room. Heads were down. I saw glossy eyes, but that’s about it. I think everything else is probably an exaggeration.”

Professional athletes don’t take it as seriously as we do, y’all. Frustrated, maybe. Crying, probably not.
